Known for bridging Punk rock and Disco, the American band BLONDIE formed in

1976 and evolved stylistically throughout the decades. The band’s iconic lead

singer, Debbie Harry was referred to as “The Marilyn Monroe of the 70’s. With

mesmerising aesthetics & a cool commanding style, Harry brought permissible

sexuality to intelligent women. As one of few successful female recording artists

of the mid 1970s, Harry became an icon & inspiration to the many female acts

that followed.

quintessential BLONDIE sound, that not only put the American new wave, pop/punk-rock band on the charts, but kept them in the hearts of many to this day.
